Eli, Paige and Payten

I am trying another linkup. This one is called Three Word Wednesday.

Kristin Hill Taylor, author of the blog 152 Insights to My Soul describes her link-up in the following way:

Three Word Wednesday is a chance to pause and hear God. Sum up what you’re hearing in three words. Those three words are enough. But stories are good too. Be sure to visit your link-up neighbors.

I’ve often to those without children that having a kid is like having a high-maintenance, expensive toy, such as a boat. It takes a lot of time, patience, and money to take care of, but the rewards are well worth it.

My children are both my greatest joy and my biggest challenge.

(I NEVER thought I’d say that after meeting my husband!)

These are the gifts they have given me, and the things I have learned from them:

Eli: My 11-year-old son brought curiosity and showed me wisdom.

Paige: My 6-year-old daughter, brought laughter and taught me patience.

Payten: My 8-year-old daughter, brought music and reminded me about the magic of being a little girl.

Just as my little ones are still a work in progress, so am I. God continues to slowly and gently guide me towards possessing more wisdom, displaying more patience, and believing in the innocence of childhood.

  1. Remembering we are all works in progress is so freeing. As a mom, remembering that about my kids takes off some unnecessary pressure I put on myself. 🙂 Thanks for linking up at #ThreeWordWednesday. I hope you’ll be back!
